The 100 Club of Jefferson and Hardin Counties is an organization of private citizens and businesses who provide financial and moral support to law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency medical services workers throughout Jefferson and Hardin Counties. Because the need far exceeds the tax money available, the club's contribution is essential.
The 100 Club provides financial assistance to families of law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency medical services workers who lose their lives or are disabled in the line of duty. The group also provides private funding so agencies can buy much-needed equipment and conduct training and education programs that are beyond the reach of available tax dollars.
There is also an annual recognition banquet each year.
Individuals as well as businesses are the driving force behind the 100 Club. A life membership, a one-time contribution of $1,000, or renewable annual membership of $100, supports the club's many important programs. All memberships are tax deductible. In addition, businesses and organizations frequently support the club by donating proceeds from special events. By placing part of your funds in high-interest accounts, the club increases its assets so you can see your investment grow.
Volunteer leadership comes from a board of directors made up of a cross section of citizens, business people, civic leaders and public officials, with valuable guidance from law enforcement, firefighting and emergency medical services advisers.
Membership entitles you to a 100 Club decal for your vehicle and subscription to All-Points Bulletin, the club's quarterly newsletter. You receive a special invitation to the annual recognition banquet. Most importantly, you become an active partner to law enforcement, firefighters and emergency medical services workers. You derive the satisfaction of letting your officers, firefighters and emergency medical services workers know you stand behind them 100 percent, proud of the job they are doing.
