The Administrative Services Bureau is commanded by Captain David Travis.  The Administrative/Services Division provides support services to both the Operations and Criminal Investigations Divisions through a wide-array of essential functions.

The Bureau is comprised of seven units which provide the necessary services to support the mission critical activities of the Police Department.

Division Units

Budget/Crime Analysis, Police Community Relations, Property and Evidence, Records Management, Training, Personnel, Internal Affairs.  

Citizens Police Academy 

This unit coordinates the Citizens Police Academy training program and liaisons with the Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association.  The Citizens Police Academy is a thirteen week training program offered at no cost to citizens of Jefferson County who are at least 18 years of age.  The purpose of the program is to educate and expose community members to the operations of the participating law enforcement agencies.  The program is held two times each year and participants must apply during enrollment periods to be registered to participate.  For more information or schedules call 409-880-3812. 

The Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association was formed from graduates of the citizens Police Academy and is run by their board of directors.  The mission of this organization is as a service organization primarily committed to supporting and assisting the local law enforcement community.  Clergy and Police Partnership Training

 The training unit also coordinates the training program for the Clergy and Police Partnership (CAPP).   

The CAPP Academy is a ten week program designed to educate and familiarize local clergy members in the organization, function, mission, and operations of the police department.   This program utilizes interested local clergy as partners to assist the Beaumont Police Department in meeting needs in this community.  Graduates of this program participate as ride-along support with patrol officers assisting as needed in situations where officers are unable or not trained to provide assistance.   Interested clergy must apply and be selected by the Chief of Police to participate.
