Double Homicide

On 07-17-07 at 1:28 a.m., officers were called to Cardinal Square Apartments, 1280 Saxe, in reference to a possible homicide. Upon arrival, officers discovered two female bodies inside an apartment. It appeared that the bodies had suffered trauma. Officers secured the scene and called for investigators. According to the male occupant of the apartment, he had left the two females alone inside the apartment while he went to visit another tenant. When he returned, he discovered the two deceased females and the police were notified. Preliminary autopsy results indicate that both victims died of multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. The murder victims have been identified as 27-year-old Tamera Jonigue Antoine and 20-year-old Jarrah Yvette Davis. Investigators are asking for assistance from the public. If you have any information about the murders, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 833-TIPS. You will not be asked your name and you could be eligible for a cash reward.

Burglaries

Beaumont Crime Stoppers needs help in identifying a man who may be responsible for business burglaries in Beaumont and Hardin County. The subject is believed to have committed burglaries at a convenience store at Highway 69 and Mitchell Road in Luberton, Jack's Pak It and Food Basket #5 in Beaumont. The subject may be driving an older model white truck. He is described as a Hispanic male.

Auto Theft

Sometime over the Memorial Day weekend someone stole a 1994 blue Ford F350 truck from the parking lot of American Bedroom located in the 2400 block of S. 11th. Attached to the truck was a black Iron Horse lowboy trailer carrying an orange 4x4 30hp KIOTI tractor. The truck was recovered on June 1 in the parking lot of the Stadium Shopping Center in the 3200 block of Avenue A.

Hit and Run Fatality

On the morning of Tuesday, March 7, 2006, the body of 79-year-old Arthur Lee Spriggins was found in the grassy area adjacent to Martin Luther King Blvd. and the Park Street overpass. Traffic investigators determined Mr. Spriggins was struck and killed by a southbound vehicle on MLK Blvd. The suspect vehicle is believed to be dark red with thin dull gray striping possibly on the lower part of the vehicle. The incident would have occurred after 9 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2006.

Aggravated Assault

At approximately 7:43 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, officers found a 40-year-old Hispanic male unconscious at the intersection of Woodrow and Congress. He had been severely beaten. Investigation revealed the victim had gotten into a red Ford Crown Victoria with dark tinted windows less than 30 minutes prior to him being found beaten and unconscious. The same vehicle was seen in the neighborhood just prior to the victim being found.

Homicide -- Clifton Cormier

Around 9:47 p.m. April 26, 2005, Clifton Cormier was found shot to in a residence in the 1800 block of Pennsylvania. Cormier was shot several times in the upper body. Several individuals have been interviewed, but at this time there are no substantial leads.

Homicide -- Ernest Jackson

On Friday, Dec. 26, at 8:55 a.m., 93-year-old Ernest Jackson was found shot to death in his home at 363 Lethia. A neighbor discovered the elderly man after noticing that the back door of his residence was ajar. Jackson suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Homicide -- Sonia Bloom

On June 12, 1997, at 12:15 p.m., officers discovered the body of 57-year-old Sonia Bloom on the floor of her apartment at the Ridgewood Garden Apartments, 2755 Sweetgum. She was found with her hands tied behind her back. She had been dead for several days. It was reported by neighbors that it was not unusual for area prostitutes and drug users to frequent her apartment. It is believed that one of these individuals may have been involved in her death. Some of these individuals are still in the neighborhood. Recent calls reference this case have re-opened the investigation.

Homicide -- Joseph Rose

On Wednesday morning, Oct. 27, 2004, Joseph Rose, 72, was found deceased in a small field next to his son's wrecker service in West Beaumont. Rose died of blunt force trauma to the head. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this homicide to call Crime Stoppers.

Missing Person - Kimberly Langwell

Kimberly Langwell was reported missing on July 10, 1999. Her car, a silver 1994 Nissan Altima, was found at a shopping center near Phelan and Dowlen. Detectives are still following leads and fear foul play. Kimberly is a white female with blonde hair, blue eyes, 5'3 1/2" tall and weighs about 130 pounds. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Ms. Langwell, please call Crime Stoppers.

Homicide

At approximately 4:30 a.m. Friday, June 2, a woman driving through the south side of the old Walmart parking lot discovered the body of a 44-year-old white male. The victim had died from gunshot wounds. He was later identified as David Summerall. Summerall was last seen alive around 11 p.m. the night before at the Market Place at Folsom and Lucas. He was wearing a black t-shirt with graphics on the front, dark slacks and white tennis shoes at the time of his death. He is 44 years of age, 5'9", 145 lbs., with short brown hair and a light moustache. Anyone having seen the victim the night of his death should contact Crime Stoppers as soon as possible.
