Street Crimes Unit
The Street Crimes Unit addresses crime issues through
proactive law enforcement measures. Through crime
analysis, high crime areas or crime patterns are
identified and various tactics such as zero tolerance
and intelligence gathering are used to combat the
problem. In addition to these duties, Street Crimes
serves as the department's bicycle patrol unit and may
be seen riding in neighborhoods, around the Mall area at
Christmas or Downtown during special events.
